The Philippines are known for their knife and stick-fighting culture and there are a number of martial arts styles that have developed around this kind of fighting.

Unlike most martial are styles, Filipino Arts start with a weapon first before you learn empty hand techniques. The art was learned from 5 time British Full Contact Champion and Doce Pares World Challenge Champion Tuhon Paul Smith. The system has elements of different Filipino Arts including, Rapid Arnis, Doce Pares Original Multi-Style, and Bakbakan Kali Ilustrisimo.   Sifu Damiano is the first and foremost instructor in the Untied States under Paul Smith and Combat Arts International.

As a style, Filipino Arts relies on a combination of speed and power hitting, using effective and efficient techniques, hitting opponents with a multitude of strikes.

This class is great for tactical training as well as improvised weapons. It’s recommend to Military and Law Enforcement. Again focused on simple and direct techniques that work in a real situation. Filipino Arts can be fast paced and demanding , fortifying a great work out.  Whatever term is used to describe the Filipino fighting arts today it is clear that they offer deep and rewarding training for those involved.
